Drains

At Merlons, we offer square and linear drains with metal or glass covers, as well as tile-insert options. A tile-insert cover can hold the same tile used on the floor, helping the drain blend into the finish and become less noticeable.

In Turkish brand Valtemo drains with an odour-blocking valve, the valve opens as water flows through, then closes to limit odours rising from the sewer. It continues to work when the water left in the drain dries out — especially useful in bathrooms that are not used every day. A selected Valtemo drain has two such valves. The Czech brand Alcadrain drain in our range also uses a combined trap to limit odours after the water dries out.

Selected Valtemo drain models have an outlet that rotates through a full 360 degrees. During installation, it can be aligned with the direction of the waste pipe, making connection easier. This feature is available in both square and linear drains.

The grade 304 stainless steel components in the corresponding Valtemo drains resist corrosion. Options include drains with stainless steel bodies and covers, as well as models with a plastic lower body and a stainless steel cover or frame. Selected Turkish brand Metline drains have a stainless metal frame, while the Alcadrain drain has a stainless steel grate.

A corresponding Valtemo drain comes with a waterproofing membrane, while some other drains include waterproofing tapes. When correctly installed, these help protect the joint between the drain and the floor against water entering beneath the finish.
