Large-format tiles

Large-format porcelain can be used to cover floors, walls, furniture and façades. At Merlons, you will find slabs from ASCALE, Infinity and Cotto d’Este, including thin Kerlite slabs and thicker slabs intended for kitchen worktops. Large formats mean fewer joints, creating a more continuous surface with fewer seams to clean.

Porcelain has very low water absorption, resists stains and is easy to clean every day. ASCALE and Infinity withstand sudden temperature changes and are suitable for direct food contact. ASCALE does not absorb odours and its colour remains unchanged under UV exposure, particularly useful in sunny spaces and on façades.

Scratch resistance still calls for appropriate care: avoid abrasive cleaners on polished surfaces, use a chopping board when cutting and place hot cookware on a trivet. Choose the appropriate thickness and finish for floors, furniture or façades; façade cladding and worktops need suitable support and installation.

Infinity and Kerlite hold GREENGUARD Gold certification for low chemical emissions into the air. Thin Kerlite slabs use less raw material in production, while Infinity recovers and reuses raw production waste and processing water.

Cotto d’Este PROTECT® surfaces incorporate silver ions that reduce bacteria by up to 99.9%. The protection works continuously without needing sunlight to activate.
