Basins

At Merlons, we offer countertop, wall-hung and freestanding basins. Italian brand Simas semi-recessed models can be used for countertop or inset installation. A selected Simas basin can sit on a surface or be wall-mounted, with or without bathroom furniture.

The Italian SOLID® used in Italian brand AquaForte basins combines natural minerals with plant-based resin. Its non-porous surface helps limit dirt penetration into the material, and its velvety texture feels pleasant to the touch. It resists scratches and UV rays. Minor scratches on unpainted surfaces can be restored, reducing the need to replace the basin. SOLID® is hypoallergenic, non-toxic and recyclable.

Simas makes its basins in its own Italian factory, from casting to glazing and firing. These basins carry a 2-year warranty; selected models include the matching waste fitting. A selected Simas basin can sit on a surface or be used with its dedicated pedestal, purchased separately.

The corresponding AquaForte and Gunon freestanding basins allow waste pipe connections through either the floor or wall, making them easier to fit to existing plumbing. The corresponding AquaForte freestanding basin also includes a mounting kit.

Australian brand Meir stainless steel countertop basins resist corrosion. Installation requires only a waste hole in the supporting surface, rather than a basin-sized cut-out. We also offer Spanish brand Nofer stainless steel wall-hung basins and easy-to-install Maramori countertop basins.

A selected Spanish brand Dune ceramic basin is hand-painted. Pair it with the corresponding Dune tiles to coordinate the basin and wall finish. You can also choose a trap and waste fitting here, with options for basins with or without an overflow hole.
